  저희 재단법인 월드뮤직센터는 예술을 통한 문화의 공존과 나눔, 소통을 도모하고자 2012년 11월 출범하였습니다.

  그간 <뉴욕 산조 페스티벌>을 비롯한 국내외 아티스트간 교류 지원, 학술연구 지원, 어린이 및 일반 시민 대상의 교육 프로그램 개발, 팟캐스트 등의 사업을 진행하여 왔으며, 아시아의 우수한 현장 아티스트를 발굴하고 지원하기 위하여 <아시아 월드뮤직 어워드>를 제정하여 시상하는 사업도 진행하고 있습니다.

  The World Music Center was founded in 2012 in Seoul, South Korea. Since its foundation, we have been trying to support various activities with the purposes of intercultural coexistence and communication through art.

  Our business includes 1) New York Sanjo Festival, 2) annual academic conference series with the Korean Society for Worldmusic, 3) designing educational programs for kids and adults, 4) podcasts, and 5) Asian World Music Award (AWMA) for the support of outstanding artists within the realm of world music.

(재)월드뮤직센터는 다문화 시대의 한국, 나아가 전 세계 음악문화의 건강한 발전에 작은 밑거름이 되고자 최선을 다할 것입니다. 감사합니다.
